A great day

Yesterday we had class at the YMCA and played in the prime time family area. At one point Cassie and her friend Morgan sat on a chair together and Cassie put her arm around Morgan, they just sat like that for a long time. It was prescious. Around 11:00 we left the Y to come home because we were watching our friend Adelyn while her Mommy went to the doctor. Adelyn is expecting a sibling in summer!! Everytime Cassie sees Stacey she says "Baby in tummy" "Baby come out".

At first Adelyn was pretty clingy and wanted me to hold her but after 30 min she loosend up and her and Cass had a great time.

They pretended they are puppies and crawled under the table

Hugged and wrestled

Ate lunch together

Later that evening our friends Traci, Tom and their kids (Morgan and Jackson) and Jessica and Mark with their son (Maxim) came over for pizza and the kids played. Cassie chocked on some pizza which is always scary. I really don't know if she chocked on it or if it got stuck a little in her throat and was making her gag. Her eyes got all watery and she was making retching noises...I fully expected her to vomit on the table. I didn't panic but quickly picked her up out of her booster and placed her on the floor. I could tell her wind pipe wasn't blocked because of the noises she was making but if she stoped retching I was prepared to do the heimlich. After her 3rd retch her pizza came up and she started to cry. It was only about 5 seconds but it sure seems longer than that when its happening.

The kids played really well together and the husbands played ping pong. At one point I could tell Cassie was tired but then her 2nd wind came along. Cassie didn't get to bed till 9:00 which is the latest she has ever been up. She went right to sleep! It was a fun day!

  1. Sounds like a really fun day!! Aww, so sweet that Cassie has a good friend her age...the pics of them together are so precious! Super scary about the choking though - glad the pizza dislodged itself quickly.
