38 weeks pregnant

Went to my OB yesterday.  My weight has remained the same as last week, everything else looked good as well.   The one thing we talked about was induction, I was interested in when this was scheduled.   The hospital only allows 2 inductions or C-sections a day so if we wanted to induce its best to "book" the date you want sooner rather than later.    My doctor will only do an induction if the cervix is ready....you have to score a certain number depending on how much you are dilated and effaced.    The earliest she would induce would be 39 weeks.  As much as I want to meet my little guy I do not want to be induced before my due date...that just doesn't feel right.   However...once my due date has come and gone and he is not here than I am all for it.   My due date is March 9th, my induction is scheduled for March 10th.   HOWEVER....... my OB does not think I will make it till then.  When she checked me yesterday she commented that I had huge progress from last week.   I am now 3 cm dilated and 40% effaced.  She thinks I will have our little guy this week!    She also stripped my membranes while she checked me.   I had some contractions after that but nothing consistent.     I have contractions every day, usually pretty mild.  There have been 2 that took my breath away and all I could do was lay there and breath thru them.   So we are in a waiting game, its exciting to wake up and wonder "will this be the day?"  Its also crazy to know if he doesn't come on his own that next week is my last week being pregnant.   Exciting!!!!

37 weeks

Just a quick status.....
Went to my OB yesterday.  I measured 35 weeks where as last week I was measuring 33 weeks....so it's changing with the way baby boy is positioned.  Gained 2 lbs.  1/2 centimeter more dialated which puts me at 1 1/2 cm dialated.  Baby boy has dropped more.  Last week I was at a -2 station and yesterday was -1 station.  So slowly things are happening.  I am so excited to go into labor...I love the whole experience.  I'm hoping I won't make it to 40 weeks and have to be induced but that's ok also, I'm just excited to meet him.  In the mean time I am trying to remind myself not to wish these weeks away waiting for labor to start.  I want to treasure these baby movements and last days of sleep before I'm up feeding a newborn again.   I currently get 10 hours of sleep at night....the twins sleep 12 hours straight which is awesome.  This will make things so much easier when I'm up at night with baby boy.  I can't imagine if the twins were not good sleepers at this point....I think I would cry.

I'm sure I'll be posting a 38 week update as I don't see anything happening before then!

36 Weeks Pregnant

Had my OB appointment yesterday....we are now on to weekly visits!!    Can't believe we are at this point.   I remember when I first found out we were expecting and thinking how much time we had...now we have weeks.   Its down to the end!

My blood pressure was great.   My weight was 150lbs.  I only gained 1 lb in 2 weeks!  That's a first.   She measured me and I was 33 cm.    2 weeks ago I was 35 cm so I'm thinking baby has dropped a little, however he hasn't fully dropped because she could still feel baby boys head.     She did the first exam and I was 1cm dilated.   Next Sunday I will be considered full term - yay!!     I am hoping baby boy comes anytime after that.  My doctor did say she would induce at 39 weeks if wanted, I am excited to meet him but I would not induce then, HOWEVER I will induce at 40 weeks, I do not want to go over that.

In other news, Saturday Cassie had diarrhea.   She then threw up 4 times.   The first time she threw up was because she saw the food, which made her gag and she lost it.   After that she insisted she was fine, she acted fine, and wanted to eat.   I slowly gave her some Fry's and cheeseburger.   All was good until and an hour later when she complained of a tummy ache.  From there she threw up at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:40.....then all was good.   I am hoping it was not the stomach flu since we just got done with that 4 months ago.   I am hoping it was a weird tummy issue and we put her over the edge by feeding her Culvers, I would like to think she would not have thrown up if she had not eaten that greasy food.    So far everyone else has been fine.  I hope it stays that way.....I DO NOT want to get a stomach flu this pregnant!!!
